Role Overview

We’re a team of hard-working, fun-loving people with a passion and commitment for solving complex problems in healthcare. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help support our customers as they tackle healthcare in the cloud.

As a Software Engineer at Datica, you will be tasked with designing and building secure and compliant solutions for our CPaaS and CKS products to help our customers deploy and manage sensitive information in the cloud.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide hands on technical leadership and participate in architectural decision-making 
  2. Drive new features from design to production release 
  3. Develop elegant, efficient, and test-driven code 
  4. Work with remote teams including QA, product management, and operations in an Agile environment 

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Four years software engineering experience

Skills and Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Proven ability to deliver working software for a complex system
  • Ability to work effectively in a group setting using source control, performing code reviews, and pairing as necessary
  • Familiarity with Docker
  • Experience deploying in IaaS environments, particularly AWS

Preferred Experience

  • Delivering software within a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, etc.) a huge plus
  • Experience with Salt, Terraform, Ansible, or other DevOps tooling
  • Experience with computer security, information assurance, information security
  • Experience delivering production services built with Go or Python
  • Experience writing extensive tests with a passion for automation
